Annual Meeting 2024 Recap

Thanks to all who attended the annual meeting in conjunction with the Perennial Farm Gathering!

This was the first time hosting an in-person meeting for the entire Agroforestry Coalition. The Coalition has grown quickly since it began in 2022. Currently the Coalition makes up 250+ people from over 90 organizations.

We were able to join together to discuss our work so far and where want to go in 2025 and beyond. By uniting diverse voices and resources, the Agroforestry Coalition is driving systemic change, ensuring a more resilient and regenerative future for American agriculture.

We made a big announcement at the meeting! Thanks to your participation in the Steering Committee Election, we now have 4 new members of the Agroforestry Coalition Steering Committee. Special thanks to all who stood for election, and to the prior steering committee for getting us to this point.

The new steering committee (serving a two year term) will be:

  • Margaret Bloomquist, Horticultural Sciences at North Carolina State University (elected)
  • Carrie Brausieck, Agroforestry Northwest (elected)
  • Amy Miller, Route 9 Cooperative (elected)
  • Graham Savio, Conrad Hill Farm (elected)
  • Kate Wersan, Savanna Institute (Reserved seat for host organization)

Join us in advocating for, researching, and collaborating toward regionally adapted and appropriate agroforestry systems across the United States.

The Agroforestry Coalition

We foster collaboration across sectors to increase the number of farms and ranches producing food via the intentional integration of trees and shrubs into cropping and livestock systems.
