As the Shiitake Growers Association president, Ingrid Daudert mentors new growers interested in log-grown mushroom cultivation. She also have a diversified agroforestry farm that produces maple syrup, shiitake mushrooms, ginseng, apples/pears, and fiber from sheep and pygora goats.
Before becoming a full-time farmer, Daudert worked for the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension developing and training conservation professionals who work with farmers on implementing various conservation strategies. She is also a conservation coach for the Wisconsin Women in Conservation program.
