Stesha Warren serves as an agroforester for Appalachian Sustainable Development. She leads the interregional initiative “Agroforestry Trainings for Natural Resource Professionals” which provides natural resource professionals with consistent, quality, regionally appropriate education on agroforestry practices with the goal of increasing technical assistance capacity to producers. She is currently developing a replication model of the programming for other organizations to have the ability to expand these efforts and capacity across the United States. Warren also is deeply involved in agroforestry outreach efforts at Appalachian Sustainable Development with the goal of advancing agroforestry adoption with land managers. She currently is the vice chair for the Association for Temperate Agroforestry where she serves at various capacities.
Warren received her B.S. in Agricultural Education in 2010 with a focus on curriculum development and agriscience. Warren has spent over a decade teaching wild foraging skills, agroforestry, primitive living techniques and more. She is also a farmer and co-owner of Eliana’s Garden, LLC, a small agroforestry focused farm and nursery in Stoneville, NC. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in the forest, creating wild crafted culinary delights and exploring fiber arts.
